For anyone that is not on Facebook, the following study was posted. The additive found to worsen IBD is also in other products such as toothpaste. Worth a read!

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Jessica,

This is a very interesting study. Titanium dioxide is the pigment that is put in a lot of white paints. It is a pricey pigment as pigments go in the colorant industry. Cheaper white paints will have no titanium dioxide and have a grayish look to them or cheaper white paints will have just a little titanium dioxide since it is a pricey pigment. Higher end white paints typically have a lot of titanium dioxide which gives the finished white wall a very bright white look to it. I'm assuming in the food/toothpaste industry titanium dioxide is a food additive to make the end product bright white.

Anyways, I guess the moral is don't eat foods or toothpastes that have ingredients that go on your walls.

Thanks for posting.

Titanium dioxide is commonly used as a whitener for prescription drug capsules and OTC drugs.
