Any other suggestions for Candida Albicans

Post by Erica P-G »

Besides no extra sugar....

I think I have a yeast break out on my face next to the sensitive area of the lip and nose. and I'm not sure if it will need to be treated or if just getting the yeast under control will make it go away - been dealing with the skin eruption since the beginning of June and it was small then, and now it is a little bigger and it moves around on the upper lip area and an occasional water bump will form and tiny skin flakes once in a while...UGH....and my daughter is getting married in 30 days and I was hoping to get this under control by now! I can't be the Mother of the Bride and Hosting her wedding in our back yard with this scientific experiment on my face!!

Plus I have been more gassy and bloated lately....

If there are any other suggestions I'd love to hear them
Thanks
Erica

Hi, Erica. I don't have any advice, just wanted to say that you'll be a lovely Mother of the Bride no matter what!

topical solutions
coconut oil (anti bacterial)
camomile tea (I got camomile flowers from health food shop and make a tea let it cool and then swab it onto my skin
coconut yoghurt ( that has good probiotic but no gluten, dairy or soy)

Thanks!

Marcia - you're so kind :pulsinghearts: I appreciate that  Hope nerves don't make it worse....guess I prepare myself now.

Gabes - I'll give it a whirl....everything I keep reading says to keep it dry but perhaps the antibacterial aspect will keep bacteria away hence a little moisture/oil may not be a bad thing. I wash my face with Dove and put very little hand/face Curel cream on in the mornings, no makeup.

I feel our bodies are on such a slippery slope and toxins, disruptions and ailments hit at the darnedest times! I just want this milestone to go off without a hitch and I'm sure it will be fine....I feel this is my last real OCD moment where I have to put my Perfect shoes on once again.

use those things, let them sit for 20 minutes, then gently wash off and keep dry and clear type thing.

I know that dove is meant to be gentle etc, but I would avoid anything commercially made.
at home I use coconut oil based soap (home made by local person)

one thing about skin issues, in naturopathy/functional medicine, having skin issues is considered good progress and a good indication of healing, as the toxins from within are coming out via the skin.

checking the nutrient bible today, nutrients that can help resolve candida;
pepsin, betaine HCL, which is an indicator of acid imbalance in your gut??

Interesting Gabes...

Well I guess I best try to aid my HCL a bit more...I thought I had been with the small dose daily zinc supplement. I have gastrazyme, just haven't been taking it much if at all. I was told by my nutritional therapist that my acid imbalance needed to be addressed and that was back in February I believe. (she has moved now, so I no longer have her to bounce things off of  )

Ok...so due to hormone changes, toxins leaving, and daily added stresses/toxins I will work at this better along with gently treating the scientific experiment on my face  :bigbighug:

I have a goat milk soap special made minimal ingredient for me by my sister-in-law that I got recently....I can use it for a while, it washes off my hands real nicely - no residue at all.

Thank you!

Erica, I love your sense of humor...." the scientific experiment on my face.... I had to smile....
I have about 8 sores that spaced themselves beautifully on the middle of my nose from eyebrows to the tip....red...peeling....stubbornly taking up residence since I started Budesonide....doc said it's related to acne or rosacea and prescribed a cream that just was effective in emptying my wallet...sigh....everywhere I go they are there...like a beacon. Ugh!
But your daughter's wedding is so important and for you as mother of the bride to feel relaxed and pretty....I sure hope all of Gage's great ideas will help!
When I began getting a yeast overgrowth in my mouth from the steroid, I did oil pulling with coconut oil & that took care of it so maybe the coconut oil would help topically for you as Gabes suggested...fingers crossed!

Hey Erica! I couldn't help but notice your post about your skin condition around your mouth/ nose. Please look up "perioral dermatitis.". Sounds like this is what you have. I've had it as well....pain in the arse. What works for me is leaving it alone!! I know it's hard, but I swear by it. Good luck
