BBQ restaurant caters to GF customers!

Post by sunny »

I am completely gobsmacked! We found a place in this new town we moved to that has delicious barbecued meats and is very careful with someone who declares a GF intolerance or illness. The server gets a new cutting board, new gloves, new knife ands get this...a brand new roast & unwraps it just for you...in front of you at the order window. All meats, sauces, and sides are gluten free! Plus the meats are just delicious ...tender and flavorful.

Finally a place I can eat and feel safe. They even make their own pickles...sigh...heaven!

It doesn't get much better than that.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I have had the same experience here in Kansas City. The BBQ places have very few items that contain gluten and they know what they are. They know they need a dedicated fryer for fries, they change their gloves when they fix your plate, etc. I've never had issues at the places I frequent.

Enjoy!

What is the place called Sunny?

I'm curious about it as I'd need to be careful with the soy...but if they go to those lengths for Gluten maybe Soy is on their radar too!

Next time I'm in Tri Cities I may try them 👍🏻

Thanks!

An no I didn't look into an GI in TriCities since Walla Walla had a couple decent ones. I still don't visit with the GI in WW to this day because she can't do much more for me other than another colonoscopy 👍🏻😉

Have you found a good GI ?

Erica,
Nope, haven't found a Gastro doc...the one that was recommended I left 3 messages with the scheduler and didn't hear back....so I asked another scheduler who had called to schedule a CT scan how I could get a response...she said she would try...15minutes later I got a call from the scheduler! But nothing available till November....so called another one and he was December.... so I ended up with an appt in Sept with a third doc who has pretty low ratings....kinda feel like you regards no help other than wanting to a do a colonoscopy ....
