Organic Bone Broth Protein Powder

I have seen ads for this. Does anyone know anything about this? It sounds like a good way to add protein to the day.

I have not seen this exact product - (and being in Australia it is not sold here)

my observation of the 'bone broth' product market, is that some of the manufacturers/distributors are trying to make money from the popularity of bone broth.
Additionally, most commercial products (whether powder or liquid) are made with ingredients like onion etc that for an inflammed MC'er can be an issue.

any product with more than 5 ingredients is high risk of issue for MC'ers when inflammed. Doubled check the fine print of the ingredients.
it may be organic, but it may still contain organic soy, organic onion, and other organic ingredients that are risk of being triggers for MC'ers.

I saw a product by "Dr. Axe" at the store the other day if that is what you are referring to; they were featuring it and had a table set up with a salesperson. I read the label, listed on the plain one as "chicken bone broth protein concentrate." The flavored ones seemed to have guar gum, which would be a big no-go for me personally.

My beef with it was that it is very overpriced. With their suggested scoop/water ratio, it works out to $0.19/oz for the non-organic "Pure" one, $0.26/oz for the organic (which all seem to be flavored). So, I looked up my local Whole Paycheck ad, and they have whole, organic chickens, step 3 on sale for $2.29/lb. One 4 lb chicken in a gallon of water works out to $0.07/oz. If I go conventional, it drops to $0.04/oz. I tend to make broth in my pressure cooker and freeze servings in giant ice cube form, so it is minimal time investment for something I use for everything...drinking, soups, vegetables, braising liquid.

If convenience is the issue, you can buy hydrolyzed collagen peptides and/or gelatin from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef for less - Vital Proteins is $40.85 and offers 28 servings, Perfect Supplements is $38.95 for 30 servings...vs $44.95 for Dr. Axe's 20 servings. The grass-fed, pasture-raised gelatin powders will be cheaper. I do use those both for baking (egg substitute - gelatin) and adding a little protein to things that lack (coconut yogurt, homemade smoothies - collagen).
