Cashew Butter
Hello, all. I finally took the plunge and tried cashew butter (I am very hesitant to introduce new foods.) I bought a small packet of Artisana on Vitacost. It was delicious and I didn't have any ill effects from it. I was just wondering what brand of cashew butter you purchase? I believe this is $15.00/jar but it's organic and non-GMO which I will gladly pay more for. Thanks!
Marcia

This is what I use, and this is currently the cheapest source (at least it is for volume orders).

Marcia, nut butters can be easily made if you have a high-powered blender (like a Vitamix) I've read it's possible with a food processor too but it takes more time.

How it's prepared and processed definitely affects the flavor and palatability. Some are too "oily", some are too dry, some taste "off". I tried many brands before I settled on this one.

Yep! I have an inexpensive Ninja Pulse (more of a food processor), and it works great for cashews, since they're not as hard as almonds, for example.Deb wrote:Marcia, nut butters can be easily made if you have a high-powered blender (like a Vitamix) I've read it's possible with a food processor too but it takes more time.
