Hi everyone! I have one of the MTHFR mutations. My integrative medicine doctor recommended Methylation Complete. In looking at it, it is similar to MethylGuard in ingredients and purpose, different amounts of ingredients but looks similar. For those of you that take something like this, did you have to work up to a full dose. I was supposed to take 2 pills a day, am and pm. The pm dose 2-3 hours before going to sleep. I did this for one day, per directions, I think I took the second dose at 7 pm. I was wide away at 2 am, with flushed cheeks. I message the doctor and she said to just do a half of a pill in the am and work up to full dose. It sounds reasonable, but I am curious as to the experiences here.
Thanks,
Angela

I never had any problem that I'm aware of with Metanx or Methyl-guard Plus (which is twice as about strong as Methyl-Guard), but I only take 1 capsule every morning. It sounds like you are allergic to one of the ingredients in that med. I would try Methyl-Guard or Methyl-Guard Plus to see how that works. It's free of any common allergins.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
