Do you eat if you have stomach cramping?

Post by fletch14 »

Hi all,

If you have stomach cramping, do you continue to eat (safe foods, like broth or rice or turkey), or do you take time off eating until the cramping resides?

Thank you!

This is probably a personal decision, but back when I was reacting, I sometimes waited a while before eating if I was very nauseated or vomiting so that I figured I would surely just lose it anyway. Otherwise I tried to eat soup or something because I had cramps or other pain so much of the time that if I didn't eat something, I couldn't keep my energy up.. Most of us have our own particular type of reaction symptoms.

FWIW.....
Usually when I am cramping, just the thought of food makes me feel sick...if I have home made broth, I might sip on some warm broth but just cannot eat till the cramps are done....
