OH wow really - weight gain ! I want that side effect !!!
So glad you have an upcoming GI visit, I remain hopeful they will have something they can have you try until your diet changes kick in. I know it's so easy to give up with this MC, everything takes a long time to heal but lets keep fighting and helping each other get through it !
I will be thinking positive healing thoughts and sending them out to you !
Hugs

My constipation came to at least a brief end this morning. I had taken a Colace two nights ago and this morning had two large, normals! Because I can hear and feel action in my gut, I wasn't sure I had a motility problem. Colace (docusate sodium) increases the amount of water in the gut making stools easier to pass. In spite of ample water intake, maybe I have a problem reabsorbing the water in the large intestine. Who knows? I don't want to take it on a daily basis and become dependent on it. However, if i can use it a couple of times a week, I'll give that a try. And, of course, I could land in the world of D again. That's MC!
Tex and Rebecca, thanks for your advice about the magnesium. I have cut way back.
Rebecca, it sounds like you have a fantastic GI doc. I envision you again weighing 130 lbs. Power of positive thinking.

Susan that must be some relief to have had 2 normals, I am jealous. I looked up what colace is as I am thinking I should try it after hearing about your success.
I am having the same issue as you ( and I like the way you worded it Susan ) "hear and feel action in my gut" I have a lot of activity in my intestines and its very uncomfortable.
Is there anything more natural than colace or is that considered a good option for MC with C ? I need to pull Tex's book out and re read this issue.
Thank You Susan for having thoughts of that 130 pounds for me, I believe in the power of positive thinking !!
I am happy you are fine tuning your mag intake Susan, I guess we can get too much of a good thing ! I am doing what Gabes shared with me a few months ago and that is the foot baths in epsom salts and the mag spray. I will look into the lotion today as that darn oil really stings on my lupus sores.
I am happy to say I have ordered the Enterolab A1 +C1 panel this morning. I hope this will shed some light on any food sensitivities I am having.
Can someone tell me again where you like to see Vit D levels ? Mine is currently at 37. Thank You in advance to whom ever answers this for me !

Hi Rebecca,
Here's the Vitamin D Council's position statement for professionals, on Vitamin D blood levels:
https://www.vitamindcouncil.org/for-hea ... -exposure/
IOW, they recommend 40–80 ng/ml (100-200 nmol/l), so you are very close. Good for you.
And of course you're very welcome.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex I just had to pop in and say thanks for that great link ! I am close to the proper level of D, I will up it a bit, I have drops and now I have the new patches Erica so kindly told me about.
My in-take of D, B's & mag is helping so much. I know I would be much worse off.
Thank you for such great support everyone !
