Hello all! I've been a member awhile and mostly a lurker (thank you to everyone - this group is so helpful).
I had a thought today at work: would a stand-up desk be helpful? My mornings at work are pretty consistent. Even when I'm in a full-blown flare, I have multiple trips to the bathroom, along with pain an urgency. I was wondering if standing up would be helpful, just from a standpoint of how my abdomen is compressed (yeah, I'm a sloucher).
Has anyone had some relief? Even a little?
stand-up desk helpful?

No personal experience but it makes sense to me...when I am sitting, it seems to put more pressure on my gut than standing.....so standing would relieve that cut in half feeling....IMHO...

at my new workplace (the functional practitioners that have been key inputs to me getting wellness for the past 2 years) is all stand up workstations - I LOVE THEM, in that, my body is much much happier with stand up work stations.

Sit/Stand desk
I have a sit/stand desk which just clips onto the fixed desk. They are a lot cheaper to purchase and install. They work great. I've only been diagnosed with MC for about 5 months and have had the desk the whole time, so can't comment on whether it will help with your symptoms.
