How much calcium are you taking? this impacts how much magnesium you need to be taking

in early stages of healing, we encourage people to only take Vit D3 and magnesium.
magnesium dosage is dependant on many things
- other medications you may be taking
- if you are drinking coffee
- if you are having calcium supplements.

the 'normal person' RDA (ie no health issues, no medications, no coffee, no calcium supplements etc ) is about 350-400mg ELEMENTAL magnesium per day.
for me personally with my combo of issues, the dose to correct deficiency was about 800mg per day elemental magnesium, and my mainteance dose is about 450-500mg per day ELEMENTAL Magnesium.

Thanks for the feedback. Chicken is my main course 3 out 5 days of a work week, with usually a side of mashed potatoes, or rice and green beans. Meeting all of my Vitamin D and Mag intake levels for sure. I’ve stabilized at 139-141, depending on how many calories I burn that day. I feel my optimum weight is 150-155 with good muscle tone, being 5’5” at age 55. I was about 20 lbs overweight I agree, (mainly belly fat) but I carried it well in muscle and also in my arms and leg thickness.
Keeping the faith. I recently started getting upper back nerve and muscle pain, along with elevated Tinnitus levels Daily, which is VERY disheartening and concerning to say the least. It just adds to the daily drama when hoping to have a “good” day once in awhile!

You might be sensitive to chicken. Could you try substituting turkey or lamb for a few days to see if you do better to rule out that possibility? The tinnitus is a concern, I agree. It's usually associated with taking bismuth subsalicylate or Ciprofloxacindd, but it can be caused by an inner ear disorder. It also can be due to temporomandibular disorders, and those can be caused by an MC reaction. Can you hear a click sometimes when you open your jaws wide?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

No jaw clicking, No bismuth ingested unless absolutely necessary. I’ve had mild Tinnitus for about 15 years, but never as loud and bothersome Daily since I started getting back spasms and nerve pain. I also eat turkey as a substitute/change whenever purchased. Lamb isn’t an easy option, unless I drive miles and miles to a butcher shop, which there aren’t many around my area. I’ve read no one has found a true cute, or minimizing of Tinittus, short of wearing a sound masking hearing aid. I just find it odd that since combating MC, that several other unrelated issues cropped up. Neurological, blood flow, or lack of certain nutrients would be my guess.
Thanks

I've had two doctors tell me to take the full dose of Budesonide,9mg, in the morning....their comment was I would get full impact on the inflammation instead of small doses scattered through the day....
I am still careful to maintain my diet even with few symptoms....Budesonide doesn't heal....it helps mitigate the inflammation....
