Diagnosed 2 years ago on the second try with the biopsy. I am a 79 YO retired MD and I hope my story will give hope (and guidance) to others. I responded very favorably to Entocort. Initially 3 mg three times daily. After a year of good control on that regimen, I reduced the dose to twice daily with no ill effects. Several times I tried to stop the medication completely, but the diarrhea returned very promptly each time. This last August I was caught without my medicine for 3 days. I feared the worst, and, much to my surprise, nothing happened. It has now been 3 1/2 months since my last dose. I never really did anything with my diet and did not feel the need for other meds as my response to the Entocort was so good. Incidentally, I bought my Entocort online from Canada at big savings from the US pharmacies. Reach me privately if you want more info on that.
Hoping that a story of spontaneous remission will give heart to some.

Welcome to the forum. Wow! You are indeed one of the lucky ones. I've had MC for about 18 years now, and even had a colectomy (not because of the MC, but because of a massive bleeding problem), and I still react severely to many foods if I accidentally ingest them. Like most here, I'm stuck with a very limited diet, but as long as I stick with it, I'm happy and healthy (and so is what's left of my digestive system).
