skin or rash problems with MC?

Post by harvest_table »

I seem to remember reading about someone here having this problem on their face or hands. Was is Shirley?

I was wondering about it- how it started, how it manifested itself, how long it lasted and what you used to treat it.

I'm not having any problems myself, but has anyone else had an experience with skin problems related to MC?

Love,
Joanna

It may have been shirley....but I also have a rash that appears on my face. I used all sorts of things, even RX's for creams. Lately I discovered that Grape seed oil has helped me alot. I ran out of the RX cream Nystatin and started using the Grapeseed oil to moisturize and noticed that I had gone a whole week with out a rash, flake, or any problems with my skin. I am now using the grapeseed in place of moisturizers Morning and Night. I got it at Bath and Body. It's called Bath and Body works Arometherapy Light weight Blending Base. It is a carrier oil for massage but for me it's a life saver. You can add drops of other oils epending on your need. I mix Lavender (5 drops lavender -15 drops of grapeseed oil) You can lessen the lavender or add a bit more. I Use the lavender for headaches. Lover Oma

Joanna,

I don't have a rash, but I feel like I have micro-bumps, almost imperceptible, all over the skin of my torso. You can't see them, but I can feel them when I take a shower for example.

Hi Guys,

Don't forget to check out D.H. (dermatitis herpetiformis), a skin condition that goes along with gluten sensitivity. Google it and check out some of the photos. I have had it at times - mainly on my hands. Small, intensely itchy bumps.

Love,

Polly

Hi,

Oma, I have a friend that uses that grape seed oil for skin problems and likes how it's helped her.

Here's a link for the Dermatitis Herpetiformis Polly mentioned. Thanks, I was not aware of this problem with Gluten Sensitivity or Intolerence.

Joanna,
It wasn't me on that one. I have the ringworm problem but I'm sure it's not MC related and it's on my lower legs. I'm still fighting it. At least 2 spots are still active. (bumpy and/or itchy). I'm anxiously awaiting for my FungRX to come which I ordered several days ago. In the meantime I'm using vinegar and the cream the Dr. gave me.
