My turn to whine....

Post by Peggy »

Hey, I have some great advice for ya'all...don't go to the dentist and get work done when you're recouping from a broken neck.

Now if only I'd given myself that advice earlier today

At least the molar I broke before I fell down the stairs is fixed. I still have to get the damn bridge done <sigh>.

Love to all

Was it real painful Peg? And how is the broken neck? Healing nicely I hope. you can whine all you want, but it didn't sound like whining to me. Love Oma

Thanks for the hug Mom!

Oma - it still hurts...lots. The wrist (which I ended up breaking in two places, not just one) is healing real nice, but the trauma I suffered to my neck (four breaks) is still pretty sore. I want to be better yesterday, not tomorrow. At first all I could think of was I was so happy and thankful I wasn't dead, or that I wasn't paralyzed...but this much time later I'm just getting real tired of the pain.

How's THAT for whining?

Love yas

 Oh, Peg, sure wish I could do more than give you a cyber-hug. I am so sorry it is still so bad for you. You NEVER complain.

I'm glad the ordeal is over for you with the dentist. At least it isn't hanging over your head any more.......except for the bridge. Is that something you can put off for a few months to give yourself more healing time?

Morning Peg,

Your healing process is one that is going to take a good bit of time but you are so lucky that you did not wind up paralyzed. What a lucky lady you are. I am sure trying to deal with dental work while having a broken neck is more than painful.

I do wish you the best and hope the healing is over soon and you can just enjoy yourself.

Love, Maggie

Jeez Peg,

Sounds like a good excuse to escape to Mexico again!

Take care and rest,
Mars

I can only imagine! I have enough tenderness in my jaw from TMJ that any dentist visit leaves me a bit sore. But I can see where a neck injury would be excrutiating.

Take it easy. Are you back to being able to do PT on the neck? I know at first that wasn't working and making it worse. How about getting a good massage...got to imagine all those muscles in your shoulders and neck are tight and sore from the pain and all.

OUCH!

That's what I call the perfect example of adding insult to injury. I hate the dentist anyway. OOOOOOh, poor Peg. Take care and rest that neck.

Love,

Polly

Polly - you and me both! The work he did didn't really hurt, but I'm so tense the whole time I'm in the chair it was anything but good for the poor neck.

JJ - wish I couldn't imagine it either

Kate - no PT right now. I have some exercises I'm supposed to be doing..."supposed" being the operative word here :???:

Mars- I wish!

Mags - thanks. I know how lucky I am...it's just getting rather tired, you know?

Barb - I like your way of thinkin' :drinking:
Nope, the teeth issues were from just before the fall. I was very lucky, landing on my face and putting my teeth through my lower lip, that I didn't even loosen any of the chompers.

Shirley - surely you don't mean "never" ?

I had to take a couple of pain killers and lay down for an extra 1/2 hr this morning...but I made it to work. I musta really loosened some marbles in me head when I fell... :comp11:

Love yas all.

Oh, Pegster! Darn it, I was hoping things would be much better now! I guess I am in a hurry for you to heal too!

Big hugs coming your way......

I get so tense in that dentist chair myself, I can't imagine it with a broken neck. You are a brave soul. But you are right, continuing pain is a drag. Wish it would quickly dissolve! Celia
