When you have an awesome workplace

Post by Gabes-Apg »

I am super blessed that i now work with the functional practitioners that helped me to get super optimised health.
We had our work christmas party yesterday - we all follow gluten and dairy free eating plans.

We had the most amazing spread hosted at one of the work colleagues house.
3 courses, all gluten and dairy free, low sugar, mostly organic.
there were lots of paleo, keto options so that each person could stick to their preferred eating plan!
the business owners provided a range of organic wines (white and red)

as it is aussie summer we opted for mostly cold meats and salads. but had it been cooler this easily could have been hot meats, roasted veges etc. same for the deserts - they were all gluten and dairy free - and we had low gi/paleo options

my MC journey with strict eating plans has been an 8 year journey - it is such a blessing to work with people who not only 'get it' about my eating plan but embrace it fully. it is not a diet or 'just for now' thing - this is everyones eating plan for life (kids as well)

That is really great Gabes!

My work place is embracing more an more the allergen way of things and although they don't cook lots of options that way, at least I have more options than I did 2 years ago :-)

That makes me happy....

Looks so Yummy! You are very lucky. I too have colleagues who "get it" and several will bring items that I can eat to Holiday gatherings. Happy Holidays to you!

Gabes,

That is wonderful that your workplace is so supportive!! We are planning our holiday party right now at my work - I live in a town with many people of Italian descent and my co-workers love to order in a feast from a local Italian caterer. Unfortunately there won't be anything that I can safely eat so I am going to make some sort of a special lunch - perhaps some grilled meat, rice and roasted veggies - and bring that in. This first trip through the holiday season with MC is a bit sad but I'm trying to focus on the very wonderful fact that I feel good. I've started getting up very early to walk in the morning before work and that has been very helpful - I feel a bit stronger and less bothered by things after I've had a good walk and I'm enjoying seeing my town's holiday decorations by the light of the Super Moon in the early morning.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!!
