I am not sensitive to chicken eggs, so I eat eggs and bacon. But back when I was recovering, my breakfast looked like any other meal — a safe meat, usually pork, and potatoes or rice and sometimes green beans or squash. Occasionally I will have bacon and a pancake made from a mix that is free of gluten, dairy, and soy (King Arthur Flour Company Gluten-Free Pancake Mix).
We have to eat larger servings of the foods that are safe for us in order to take in enough calories when we are eating a restricted diet.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

When I eliminated gluten, dairy and soy from my diet, I ate a lot of meats, potatoes or rice, and well-cooked vegetables. The symptoms I had, including excessive gas, did not stop right away. The half life of gluten is 120 days, so it did take time before I saw noticeable improvements. For some people, noticeable improvement may mean a couple of weeks, but for me it was 4 to 6 weeks. I continued eliminating gluten, dairy and soy from my diet and was able to reach remission. I have been able to add many foods back into my diet, but I will always remain gluten, dairy and soy free.

thanks for the support. I'm eating chicken, rice and zucchini but like saying the gas after lunch and always voluminous !! (if I still produce something I can not tolerate, or soon to have an immediate reduction) and start to have more constipation! I must say that the smell of smell and improved seems incredible! I wish my intestines were more regular but rice is famous for treating the dirrea so it makes me worse! I would like to know if I can eat some fruit to feel some sweet and hope for a stimulus to go to the bathroom! since I do not tolerate fructose! or risk of ruining everything and having to start from the beginning? how to use help enema to go to the toilet is worse for colitis?
Constipation is a symptom of a chronic magnesium deficiency. Taking more magnesium is probably a better solution than eating more fruit, for stimulating bowel movements.
For something sweet, try some dark chocolate (not milk chocolate).

Magnesium Oxide or Milk of Magnesia is probably the best for stimulating bowel movements because we can only absorb about 2 or 3 percent of magnesium oxide.

I'll try it we hope it works! Tex told me to treat the digestive system first, then mineral deficiencies and vitamins! but for the digestive system I think of the stomach and pancreas and biliary juices and not the colon intestine where Mc! so is it also a gastric problem?
I thank every single written message because it is not easy to find information about this problem from me

It is for many MC patients. It also involves inflammation of the small intestine for most MC patients. Most of the digestion and absorption of nutrients takes place in the small intestine, but the small intestine cannot absorb nutrients normally when it is inflamed.

I eat chicken rice and some vegetables and extra virgin olive oil and some lactose-free ricotta but I have constipation! I ate chicken broth with rice and a minestrone! but if I go to the bathroom I make gas and I have mucus and the smell does not totally go away I thought it would diminish but so much and the gas is valid for 5 people: (! the mucus will not go away?) and the gas is the same? I'm very thin of face and limbs so I look like a malabsor?
All cheese and other dairy products are constipating. Ricotta is also loaded with whey protein which causes inflammation for most of us. Mucus is a sign of inflammation. Gas is a sign of fermentation (because of poor digestion). The cheese may be the cause of all that mucus and other symptoms.

Only foods that cause your immune system to produce antibodies will inflame your intestines and cause your colon to produce mucus. Sugar and carbohydrates that ferment in the gut cause gas. Coconut milk is safe. So is almond milk (for most people).
