If You're Considering Buying Anything On Amazon . . .

Post by tex »

Today is a particularly good day to do it. Why? Because today only, if you buy on Smile Amazon (instead of the regular Amazon site), Amazon will donate a full 5 % of the total purchase amount to the charity of your choice (which hopefully is the Microscopic Colitis Foundation). That's 10 times the usual donation amount. And the cost to you is exactly the same (as always), whether you buy on Smile Amazon, or the regular Amazon site. Here's the information that Amazon sent me:

Amazon is celebrating its #1 ranking in customer satisfaction by the ACSI! Today, March 16, Amazon will donate 5% (10 times the usual donation rate) of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Microscopic Colitis Foundation. Get started at smile.amazon.com/ch/47-3946657.

Today, your support goes 10 times further.

Awesome! I always use Smile so the Foundation receives credit. I'll have to think of what I need to order today!

I wish I knew about this earlier....but at least I've been using Smile for about 6 months now....
Does anyone know if they can go back and apply purchases bought thru regular amazon? I get so much stuff on there....I would say shhhhh don't tell my husband, but with delivery on Saturday and Sunday I'm not getting away with much!!!

Hi Lou Ann,

As far as I'm aware, purchases cannot be moved from one site to the other. In order to benefit a non-profit it's necessary to start on the Smile Amazon site and complete the purchase there.

My gasoline usage has taken a nosedive since I started ordering so much stuff online. It saves me a heck of a lot of time, energy, and money.

I wish I'd have seen this yesterday! But, I'll start with my new orders. I order a lot from Amazon because I live in the middle of nowhere & with our dietary needs, it's the only way I can get what I need!
