I should be happy I got good news

So I decided to have the CT scan since it is covered at 100% from my insurance and I am switching plans at the first of the year in which the coverage is not the same. The Restore 3 has done absolutely nothing (not surprised). I've gone through a whole bottle which is supposed to disrupt the biofilm. It does say it can take up to four months to see results. Instead of two pills a day I tried the six in hopes I'd have some indication I might be on the right track. They recommended two/day due to possible herx effects but suggested six if you wanted to hurry it along. Nothing..... I guess it was worth a try. I've dumped thousands into diagnostics, why not the supplement too?

I got a call from the nurse that my CT scan results were normal and I should follow up next week with my GI. I'm wondering what he can even say. They didn't even ask how I was doing or attempt another drug. Ten different drugs since July, an endoscopy, a colonoscopy, sugar intolerance test, hydrogen breath test for SIBO, and a CT scan. I think they are out of tests to try. I'm burnt out on it all and am tempted to forego the UBiome results for my husband and just try the FMT before next Monday's appointment. Some of the UC patients have noted immediate results. I'm not looking for perfect but just a small indication that the gut dysbiosis is the problem. I know that'd be irresponsible but if there is a remote chance I would notice some improvement before the appointment, I would be extremely satisfied. However, it could all back fire.

Just venting.....

I am kicking myself for doing the CT scan because I was so opposed the unneeded assault on my body but I decided from a financial aspect, if everything I am trying on my own fails and I end up back in his office after the first of the year, he would go back to the CT scan he wanted in the first place. Then I'd be out even more money. Pretty sad statement. My husband is taking a positive outlook and is satisfied with the confirmation there is nothing else going on. I'm trying hard to get to that attitude.

I had a colonoscopy in Dec 2017 because my previous ones found polyps. Secondary would not pay because I am over 75 and they saw no need for me to have it even though they found 20 polyps this time! Does that sound reaonable? Are insurance companies backing off on what they cover?

I'm over 75 also. My take on that is that the insurance company executives don't believe that we should live much past 75. Just wait 'til they get to 75. They'll wish they hadn't been so hasty with their policies.
