Alkaline Water and GERD (Gastroesophogeal Reflux)

Post by DJ »

The news recently reported the findings of a study of people with GERD. Participants drinking alkaline water throughout the day experienced as much relief from GERD as participants who took PPIs. Alkaline water was defined as 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda per 8 ounces of water. I started using alkaline water throughout the day and it helps my whopping GERD and GERD-related cough.

Thanks for that tip.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks DJ. That’s good to know.
