NOT SURE WHAT TO DO

Post by Mst »

Im a collagenous colitis sufferer. yesterday morning, i woke up with the worst stabbing pain in my rib cage on the right front at the very last rib. If i breathed deep. turned, etc it sent me into yelling a loud ouch! I had seven d movements that morning with a decent anount of mucus within. As day went on, pain became more of a dull annoyance. I ate nothing yesterday. Today, i have only had liquids pain is tending to be more severe only it across whole top of abdomen. Everytime I consume liquid , I have D. Only now the D is a lot lighter in color and is pretty much more thick mucus then liquid. I do feel some annoying pain on the right side of my back behind where rib pain was. Im tired, a bit nervous about whats going on, amd about 24 hrs from getting my period. I dont think these are menstrual cramps because if they are, ive never felt any like this and Im 40. Should I be thinking about ER? Ive got no gastro dr in my area at this moment.

Yes, have the ER check it out. Pain that can also be felt at the back is probably due to either gallbladder, kidney, or possibly pancreas.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
