Benadryl and heart arrhythmia

Post by Lou Ann »

Hi all.....I’ve been taking Benadryl for a while now and I swear it helps my MC....l do suffer from PVC’s and was put on a low dose lopresser a few years ago. Lately I’ve been having not just the occasional pvc, but what I call runs of them that last for up to 30 minutes at times....for anyone who has them can probably agree it’s very unsettling and usually sends me into a mini panic attack because my heart rate drops into the 40’s. My heart doctor said the Benadryl could absolutely be playing a part in the arrhythmia along with caffeine, stress, etc.........any thoughts on that being true? Anyone else experience this? I did a halter and echocardiogram, but of course I had no episodes during the halter  ....I really just wanted her to see what was happening....oh well....having none is better than having many!!
Thanks in advance

How much magnesium are you taking?

Tex,
I was trying to take 400 of the chelated a day but it started giving me WD so right now I’m doing Epsom salt baths mostly every night and doing the topical gel or spray.

I throw PVC's when I don't drink enough water.

Too much magnesium with compromised kidney function can cause arrhythmias, but that shouldn't be a problem at the rates your using it.
