Hello,
Just received my results from Enterolab and I wanted to know if anyone can assist - I believe I understand most of it, but just want to confirm
Quantitive Microscopic Fecal Fat Score - LESS THAN 300 UNITS
Fecal Anti-Gliadin IgA - 89 UNITS
Fecal Anti-casein (cow's milk) IgA - 11 UNITS
Fecal Anti-ovalbumin (chicken egg) IgA - 17 UNITS
Fecal Anti-Soy IgA - 17 UNITS
Mean Value # Antigenic Foods - 19 UNITS
Mean Value 11 Antigenic Foods - 19 UNITS
It states that my safe foods are cashew - white potato -
Foods that have some immunological reactivity - 1+ - oats, corn, rice, beef, chicken and pork - with oats being the worst and pork the least. Foods with 2+ were tuna, almonds and walnuts and 3+ were none.
It states that I definitely have a gluten sensitivitiy and to follow a gluten free diet - I just want to know if anyone out there has a diet that I could follow or any advice on how to start -
Thank you all so much!

You are definitely sensitive to gluten. dairy products, soy, eggs, and oats. I would try to stay away from tuna, chicken, and beef also. Pork, lamb, and turkey should be OK. Minimize fiber and sugar.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

with those results,
Gluten result
i would be super careful about sharing kitchen if people are eating gluten items.
definately consider having separate cookware, utensils, chopping boards etc
also be super careful about contamination when eating out. resturants will offer gluten free meal options, but may not be 100% careful during meal prep to ensure that the meal is 100% gluten free.
be cautious about having gluten free baked goods - they still have small trace amounts of gluten. with your gluten result this may well be enough to cause same reaction as having gluten product
Soy result
do a review of bathroom, makeup products etc. Anything that has Vit E in it - will have soy. Best to go 100% soy free both inside the body and out while you are removing known triggers.
this also applies to ingredients like wheatgerm (in lots of organic beauty products) and oatmeal.
once the inflammation levels in the body have reduced and there has been some good healing, there is a good chance that you can use topical products with small amount of soy etc, but for now I would go to every effort to avoid them.
hope this helps
take care
