Skating show was fabulous!!!

Post by Momster »

My Sister and I had a great time at the skating show last. It was different than any one I'd ever seen. The usual greats were there, Kurt Browning, Elvis Sjoyko, Shaylin Bourne (Bourne & Kratz), Brian Orser, Katia Gordeeva, Langlois & Hay and then two young skaters coming up in the ranks, Cynthia Phaneuf and Mark Andre Craig. Then there was a couple I'd never seen before, Violetta Afanasieva & Pete Dack, who put on a breathtaking performance, combining pairs skating and a circus act with hula hoops (you had to see it to appreciate it) and two guys from the Ukraine, Polishchuk & Bresden, who combined skating and gymnastic with comedic routines that was unlike anything I'd ever seen and a delight.
Also, some of the local amateur skaters performed, even some as young as 4 years old. It must have been a thrill for them to perform with the big stars.
Anyway, a wonderful experience and my Sister was just blown away and is now hooked on skating shows.
What a nice birthday present.
I'm tired today, but resting and working on my little beaded owl.
Have a nice weekend, everyone. I'll check in with you later.
