Jari's Chocolate Recipe

Post by Marcia K »

Hello. I finally made Jari's homemade chocolate candy (posted in recipes.) It is very good! I used 4 Tbsp of honey and as I don't have candy molds I used plastic ice cube trays that I no longer use. Perfect! Thanks for sharing, Jari!

Nancy- it’s listed as Homemade Paleo Chocolate in the Dee’s Kitchen Section.

Here: I couldn’t get a link established so I copied the whole recipe

From Jari- Homemade Paleo Chocolate

1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup cocoa (I buy the organic at Costco)
3-4 T honey
1 tsp vanilla

“Heat coconut oil over low heat and add in cocoa and mix well. Stir in honey and vanilla. Pour in candy molds or pie plate lined with aluminum foil. Refrigerate until solid.

Be sure to taste before pouring as it is pretty bitter if you don't get enough honey in it. Add more or less to your liking. I'm going to try it with a little bit of almond butter also.”

Thank you Maria, I will have to sub the cocoa for regular dark chocolate. I have found the cocoa upsets my stomach.

Marcia,

Glad you liked it. I love it. I bought me some little molds so I would have them, but yes, ice cube trays would work also.
