Hi All,
In spite of weeks of irrigating my sinuses and gargling, pushing fluids, extra vitamin C and D3, adding a humidifier, etc, I have a sinus infection that is causing tonsillitis. Saw the doctor today and we did look at the list you posted Tex of safer antibiotics. She opted to give me a ZPak, with a refill in case one round was too short. Needless to say I’m nervous about taking an antibiotic. I haven’t had any for 6 years.
My question is: what probiotic should I take? I can handle dairy in small amounts so I could try yogurt or would I be better off taking a probiotic in pill form?
Any advice is welcomed- thank you in advance.
Kind regards -
Carol

Hi Carol,
Hopefully you'll get some good probiotic recommendations from members who have experience with them. I believe your doctor made a good choice — I don't recall hearing any complaints about Azithromycin.

Hi, Carol. When I was first diagnosed a naturopath recommended Renew Life Ultimate Flora, 50 billion. It is available at Wal-Mart. I did not have any issues with it. I hope you feel better soon!

I've been taking Florastor for quite sometime with no issues. I've had antibiotics twice in the last year and no doubt will be headed there again soon. Stupid sinus stuff........these germs just need to go away this year! I'm done!
But Florastor works great!
