Tinnitus

Post by Adele13348 »

Anybody having ringing in the ears and MC? It started a few months ago for me and I attributed it my migraines but since I'm now seeing a connection with the migraines and the MC am wondering if it's part of the overall problem. If anyone has had it, did it go away with remission? It doesn't drive me too nuts  .......just wondering. Thx.

I feel like I have mild to almost annoying ringing ALL the time....I'm sure you didn't want to hear that....

Maybe when I go camping in a week some of my Every Day noise will lessen and I can find some relief...if only a little bit, as I blame it on my MC, and the fact my husband has to have the TV on every waking minute in the evening after work....lol.

I can remember small talk waaayyy before MC with family about ringing ears but no one knew of any way to help it besides finding some quiet time. I hope it doesn't get any worse as I age.

I have it, too. It seems to be just my right ear. It doesn't stop with remission, I got it after I was in remission. It gets louder when I eat salty foods. Like Erica, I hope it doesn't get worse as I age. My sound is like crickets. I've ready where people have a high screeching sound so I am grateful for the crickets!

Tinnitus is also a side effect of certain medications such as bismuth subsalycate (Pepto-Bismol) and ciprofloxacin (commonly referred to as Cipro). Sometimes it fades away if the medication is stopped soon enough, and sometimes the drug-induced tinnitus is permanent.

I've had severe tinnitus for over 35 years, but mine was caused by loud noises almost 20 years before I developed MC. I didn't notice whether the MC made it worse, or not. A few years ago a Cipro treatment seemed to make it worse, however.
