Greetings everyone,
I am pretty new here, and was not diagnosed with MC, but rather I had a test result come back yesterday with "mild delayed gastric emptying" using a radioactive oatmeal test. The half time of the food leaving the stomach was prolonged, but the food left the stomach within 3 hours (so that part was normal).
Does anyone know what this means? Or have experience with this conditions? I am super scared and sad because everything I read about this is yucky.
My symptoms are mostly lack of appetite, but I also have intermittent nausea and epigastric pain.
Thanks for your help and support
Christine

Hi Christine'
In my opinion, delayed gastric emptying is due to chronic magnesium deficiency. When I had magnesium deficiency, I also sometimes had delayed gastric emptying. After I resolved my magnesium deficiency I no longer had the delayed gastric emptying problem.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I don't recall the exact timing, but probably within a few weeks. I've never had any problems with gastric emptying to return since then.
