Partner with new diagnosis of diabetes type 1 at 66

Post by Greengoddess »

Well it’s been a bad week to be sure. I had no idea there even was such a thing “LADA” It means we are now dealing with at least four autoimmune diseases between us. His foot is already infected. He is a really thin and fit person. They are going to test him for coeliac disease which is a bit puzzling but may be important. Does anyone here know if there is a connection?

Hi,
I'm sorry about the new diagnosis. There is definitely a connection between celiac disease and type 1 diabetes.

I hope his foot infection will heal properly.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
