Breastfeeding
My MC came back with a vengeance after I gave birth. I don’t feel comfortable taking meds while nursing and my GI never told me anything about a diet...I’m so thankful that I stumbled upon this website because most of the sites say “we don’t know what causes it.” My question is what type of diet is best to do while breastfeeding to make sure my child is getting enough nutrients? I have to change something. I have had to put my child in the crib mid-feed to run to the bathroom.
Hi,
The simple, bland diet recommended in the guidelines at the following link (together with vitamin D and magnesium) should work for you (and your baby).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
