Interesting article...though nothing we didn't already know. Researchers find that Epstein Barr virus (mononucleosis) increases risk for developing autoimmune disease specifically these 7 diseases:

"systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, and type 1 diabetes"
