Hi everyone. I received my lab reports for IgA. The reference range for my lab is 70-400 although I’ve seen some testing labs that have a range of 80-350. My results came in at 323. Now I know that’s within the “normal” range but it’s hugging the high end. What do you suppose that might mean? Thank you.
Also, I’m taking 6mg of Budesonide from 9mg and so far after about a week I’m tolerating that dose well. I’m currently taking 6000iu of D3 and spraying 4 sprays of magnesium oil. Just wondering if both are enough or should I adjust the dosage?
Appreciate your help!

Hi Sunny,
A high normal IgA test result simply means that you have a very responsive immune system (as far as IgA-based reactions goes) and your score on a serum celiac screening test or an EnteroLab stool test should be at the high end of "normal". This is good, because it does not mean that you might show false positive test results (because if you are not sensitive to a food or drug your immune system will not produce any antibodies) — it merely means that your results on such tests will be easier to interpret because if they are positive, they will be higher.
Concerning the vitamin D and magnesium, this is just my opinion, but (depending in the latitude at which you live) that should be plenty of vitamin D. Four sprays is not much magnesium — if you are deficient, you probably need much more than that.
I hope this helps.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
