From that article:
Heart failure is a condition where your heart does not work as well as it should. Because of this, there may be too much circulating fluid in your blood vessels. Lisinopril helps to reduce this. It also appears to have a protective effect on the heart which slows the progression of the heart failure. Its protective action also helps to reduce the risk of heart, kidney or blood vessel problems in people who are at risk of these.
That maybe be why your doctor feels that lisinopril is dehydrating. But for most older folks, that feature of lisinopril should be benificial (preventing fluid buildup in tissues).

Just about any medication can cause kidney problems, and some are really bad about it.

I just found several articles highlighting the benefits of lisinopril for the kidneys. Maybe I will just call her and make sure she knows it's not the one with the diuretic. If she understands that I will do what she says.

But I am very dehydrated tight now and she said my past history indicates chronic dehydration.

If you're dehydrated, then she may be right. You need to correct that dehydration problem if you can — it's not good for general health (and digestive issues in particular) in the long run.
