I recall that a few of you are (like me), dealing with a heart arrhythmia. I just got back an hour or so ago from an appointment with my GP (that I was able to schedule on the Internet after 8 o'clock this morning). (Impressive service, to say the least). Anyway, the reason for the spur-of-the-moment appointment was to discuss increasing my thyroid treatment because of an occasional arrhythmia. It appears the arrhythmia is probably not serious, but he suggested buying a smartphone ap that appears to be capable of taking a medical grade EKG, anytime, anywhere. It can reveal whether an arrhythmia is benign or serious, and it can provide the capability of emailing the EKG to your doctor, for his or her review. For 99 bucks (plus tax) they send you the sensor device and you apparently get lifetime use of the ap.

Last year, a few weeks before I had the stroke, I wore a heart monitor for a week. That provided absolutely no benefit.
I'm hoping that this will be much more useful. At the very least, it can provide a lot of peace-of-mind. I know nothing about this group or device otherwise, but my doctor highly recommend the ap. I just ordered mine.
