46 years married
It is our 46th wedding anniversary today. Seems like only yesterday. We are not doing anything extra special, just going over to Bribie Island for lunch at our favourite pub. Robert gave me a beautiful card. Got a bit teary. We are then going to have a nice seafood dinner at home with maybe a bottle of bubbly.
Had another visit to doc & physio yesterday. I am down another 1.6 kg's. About 3 pounds, I think. Yahoo. Did not have a very good week, probably pushing things a little. Carting the stuff left in Jane's car up 3 flights of stars probably did not do me much good & the exercises that the physio gave me to do stirred things up a bit too much. Not to do them any more at the moment I have been told by both Doc & physio.
Had acupuncture again along with massage & traction & back feels a bit better today. Got to get right to go to New Zealand. Still not allowed to ride my trike. Got to be patient I expect.
Jane is still not too good & having physio on her neck & back as well. The insurance company has agreed to give her a loan car until the money comes through and she is able to buy a new one. She is not at all happy with the payout figure but not much she can do.

Thanks GrannyH
Longer lived marriages seem to be the exception rather than the rule these days, even when they 'try before you buy' which seems to be the trend in a lot of cases. I think that a lot of the young ones these days go into marriage with the idea that 'if it doesn't work out, we can always get a divorce' I don't think that there is a couple alive who have not had rough patches & differences of opinion at some time or other. Thing is, you weather the storms & that is what a lot of people these days find so difficult. I would like a dollar for every little 'difference of opinion' that Robert & I have had, would be a millionare by now.

Belated anniversary greetings, Liz
Sorry I didn't get to you in time, but I have been pretty sick.
Anyway, it sounds like you had a nice day.
What city do you live in? I have a long time e-mail penpal in Brisbane.
I guess you've got Fall there now. My friend is originally from England and she said it took a long time to get used to the different seasons.
Our flowers are starting to come out now and I noticed the trees are in blossom. One of my favourite times of year.

Thanks Hazel & Momster. I did have a lovely day. & Momster I live about 60 K's (about 40 miles) north of Brisbane in a small town on Moreton Bay, not far from Bribie Island where my younger sister lives. It is supposed to be autumn now but is still quite hot & muggy. Waiting for more rain to ease our dry conditions but does not look too probable at the moment. We have not had a proper wet season for years. I can't wait to be getting back on the trike again either but still not allowed. Actually, after my session with the physio on Friday I felt worse. A little better today but Sunday could hardly walk.
