This Has Nothing to Do with MC, But Please Check It Out

If you're not convinced that its important to maintain a much higher vitamin D level than the government and most doctors recommend, please review this recent research. It's medical proof that compared with 20 ng/ml (50 nmol/L), a 60 ng/ml (150 nmol/L) blood level of vitamin D reduces the risk of breast cancer by a whopping 78 %.

Breast cancer risk markedly lower with serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentrations ≥60 vs <20 ng/ml (150 vs 50 nmol/L): Pooled analysis of two randomized trials and a prospective cohort

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Great info! Thanks Tex!

Last check my numbers were 100 and doc asked me to stop taking it for a while.... I just reduced to 8,000 as opposed to 10,000 IU.

After my Microscopic Colitis diagnosis, I had my vitamin D level tested. Came back at 21 ng/ml.

I have some work to do! I have greatly increased my intake of that vitamin and will retest periodically.

Tex, I had read this article, too, and passed it onto girlfriends and daughters. Thanks for including it here.
