Is this a good choice for B vitamins?

I've never tried that one, but outside of possibly having too any ingredients, and not enough of some, it appears to be decent.
A lot of members use Thorne Laboratories' Methyl-Guard (or Methyl-Guard Plus if they have methylation issues).

Vitamin B12
My latest blood work came back with vitamin B12 depleted. I have had Colitis for 7 years and this is the first time my doctor told me such a result. I bought 1000mg B12 from Costco (brand:Nature Made). I go back for a follow up blood test end of August to find if any improvement.

Hi Cory,
I hope you've been doing well otherwise. The liver can store B-12 for up to 5 years.
To get an accurate measurement on a B-12 test, you will need to stop taking the supplement about 5–7 days before the blood draw to allow time for the various forms of B-12 in your body to equalize, otherwise you might get a false high result. I believe this is only necessary when testing B-12.

B12
Hello Tex,
Thanks for that information. I just read a similar comment like that on Gabe's post. I will stop taking the B12 supplement 3-5 days before my next blood work.
I retired at age 62 and this year turned 65 so I now recieve medicare which is great. I have only had one bad flare up this year wherein I was bedridden for a week. Other than that just occasional hangover feeling days. I never have solid stools. Unsually, on the toilet in the morning, then run off to senior exercize class, then errands, then home and back on the toilet. So most of my day goes well. I love being retired because I have time to spend at farmer’s markets, baking GF bread, and cooking safe meals. I want you to know how much you meant to me when I was first diagnosed. This is still the only site I go to for trusted support and information sharing. I am overall in a pretty good place of acceptance and positivity.
I hope you are faring well and that the book is selling well!

Cory,
I would encourage you to take active form of B12.
Not sure how much reading you have done here on topic of methylation but if methylation cycle is hindered, the body struggles to convert inactive B12 (that most B12 supps are) into the active form our bodies need.
Love your attitude and that you are in a great place of acceptance and positivity
Hugs

Active B12
Thanks Gabes, I will purchase an “active” form of B12 next time I re-up. I have almost finished this bottle off. Also, will education myself on “methylation”. Hope you are doing well. I am grateful to you for the time you put into helping others navigate the ever-changing, shifty sands of this disease.

Hi Cory,
You should look into the topic of methylation.
By only taking b12 you are not solving your problem and could actually upset the balance for a proper methylation cycle.
Imo its better to take a product like Thorne’s Methylguard or Thorne B complex 12 (that has both the methyl and adenosyl forms of B12).
Good luck!
Henry
