Epsom salt vs mag flakes

Post by Lou Ann »

Hi everyone!
I haven’t been on for a while....I hope all are doing well and are enjoying what’s left of summer! I personally look forward to cooler weather!
I’ve been using Epsom salt baths for a long time now along with topical mag to get my magnesium in..... I just read an article saying Epsom salt is a waste of time if that’s what you’re trying to do and it’s more for sore muscles etc and that magnesium flakes are the only way to go. Does anyone have any more info or advise on this? I hate to think that I’ve been wasting all that money on Epsom salts for nothing.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Lou Ann,

Was that article by any chance written by someone representing a company that sells magnesium flakes?

I have read that magnesium chloride flakes are better than Epsom salts.
Albeit cost versus availability -Epsom salts work totally fine for me.

In MC world it is key to remember that we can't do everything 100% perfect.
Success comes doing what works best for you, ie, budget, routine, availability etc.

Epsom salts work fine for me, too.

If you dig around online, I have found bulk mag chlorine flakes that work out cheaper than Epsom salts.
