Gut Microbiota Study

Post by Lilja »

Hi all,

It has been a long time since I visited you, but you are always in my thoughts. I have gained more energy and I now live more or less a "normal" life, and my interest in gut problems is still very much alive. I joined the Root Cause Protocol last autumn, and I owe my progress very much to the philosophy of the protocol, as well as all the knowledge I have gained through this board and especially Tex.

I came across a study showing that urban people who lived in a rain forest eating and following the circadian rhytm of the villagers for 16 days, increased the diversity of micro organisms in the children, but not in the adults.

If the link does not work, you can go to American Society for Microbiology ASM Journals mSphere. The study is called:
Changes in the Gut Microbiota of Urban Subjects during an Immersion in the Traditional Diet and Lifestyle of a Rainforest Village
