New to colitis
Hello! I received my results today and I have lymphocytic colitis and am starting Entocort tomorrow. I was told by the doctor to cut out gluten, lactose, sorbitol, caffeine, NSAIDs. Upon researching more about colitis, I am unsure how to proceed diet wise. Does anyone have any advise on this? I tried finding a clear cut list of foods I am allowed to eat but have came up empty handed and instead very confused. I look forward to your comments!

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Welcome Antonella
If you are rushed for reading time....basic is the way to go...
Real cuts of Meats - no processed meat like pepperoni or bologna.
Real vegetables - over steamed such as carrots, yellow potato, sweet potato.
Dairy Free milks - Almond, Rice, Cashew or Coconut types.
season with Sea Salt.
Make Bone Broth from Lamb, Wild Game, Beef, Cornish Hen bones. (This is one of the most crucial staples you can drink and eat after a diagnosis of LC or CC it has many healing properties about it)
If you drink coffee you should still be able to now too, just don't add dairy products....use the Almond, Rice, Cashew or Coconut types.
This is just a starter suggestion....more suggestions to come I am sure...and reading will fill you in on the rest

Welcome.
The key links have been provided above.
The suggestions we make may at first seem over the top. Breathe, relax and embrace new ways of thinking regarding food, eating etc.
Another good area is the member success stories area, here you will see what others have done to attain good healing.
