Massage Oil
Hello. I went for a massage yesterday which was wonderful! Today my stomach was burning and I'm thinking it was from the oil that she used. I didn't think to ask her beforehand what she was going to use. Any suggestions for the next time? I am trying to go once a month but I don't want to feel badly the next day. Thanks,
Marcia

Re: Massage Oil
You mean the skin on the outside of your stomach or burning inside your stomach? If it's the outside, one might wonder why there would be a skin reaction on the stomach but nowhere else. I haven't had a massage in 20 years, but don't remember the stomach being the target of much massaging.Marcia K wrote:Today my stomach was burning and I'm thinking it was from the oil that she used.
I do recall one massage therapist using peanut oil. Some people are allergic to peanuts. But, again, such a localized reaction seems strange. Maybe it was something on a sheet or towel.
In any event, I'm VERY, VERY JEALOUS of all these massages.
Thank you, Connie. I am feeling better today.
Thanks, Gabes, I was thinking coconut oil would be good. I think I'll take my own the next time.
Kilt, the burning was internal. I should have been more clear on that. I was only going for a massage annually when I received a gift certificate for Christmas, but I'm now trying to go once a month if I can. A friend told me that she treats herself to a massage each month and I'm trying to do the same because it makes me feel so much better!
