Lipoma
Hello. I have a lipoma on my back which has been there for probably two years. It recently became red & sore so I went to my primary care doctor to have it checked. He was going to remove it in December but after googling it I read that many people have shrunk them with essential oils. My health insurance has a high deductible and I have a fear of infection so I'm trying this avenue first. Has anyone had success in shrinking a lipoma with essential oils?

I've had one on my right forearm for probably at least 12 or 13 years, maybe longer, but I've never given any thought to trying to remove it. It never occurred to me that there might be a way to shrink it.

I didn't, either until it became painful and then I got a bit worried. Both my dad & sister had melanoma and that was creeping into my mind. Now that I know it's just fatty tissue I'm not in a hurry to have it removed although I don't like that it's visible when I'm wearing a swim suit.

Yes, they do tend to draw attention when people notice them. Most people never see mine because I have to wear long sleeves anyway (because I'm highly allergic to just about any vegetation if it contacts my skin). So about the only people who see it are doctors and nurses. They almost always point to it and ask, "What's that?" I find that rather amusing — shouldn't they know?
So now you have me curious if anyone has tried shrinking them.

I'll keep you posted with my experiment! That is funny, you would think medical staff would know what it is! Now that I've been googling I find that mine isn't really big compared to some that I've seen!
