My Doctor Called Tex Out

I went to my primary care physician today because what I thought was a Lipoma is a cyst that became sore & infected. After he pressed on it during my examination a few weeks ago it developed a head (which I did not squeeze) and then it increasingly became sore. Today he cleaned it, put a topical antibiotic on it and then asked if I'm allergic to any medication. I gave him the list of antibiotics from this site and he read over it and then he asked who Wayne Persky is. He actually googled Tex while I was sitting there! He proceeded to tell me how smart he is and that he's board certified. We finally agreed on Bactrim because I took it for a UTI since I have LC and I was fine. He ended by saying that I should ask my GI what antibiotics are best for me to take. I was proud of myself though, because in the past I would have not been so aggressive in telling him what I don't want to take but since my husband's CIPD diagnosis I've learned that if you don't stand up for yourself you'll regret it later!
