Chinese medicine

Post by Lolaizzy »

I was recently diagnosed with microscopic colitis. I had pains for about a year and watery diaherrea for 5 months . I lost 20 lbs. My GI was convinced it was IBS. I had diaherrea about 10 to 12 times per day and it got to the point I was afraid to leave the house. I read as much as I could about the subject and tried everything to stop the diaherrea. I decided to try acupuncture although I really didn't expect it to work, I was desperate and would try anything at this point. Within two weeks my diaherrea and stomach pains were gone. My stoolis still soft but formed and I only go once per day. My GI wanted to put me on steroids but from everything I read the condition returns after they are stopped. I did not want to make my body dependent on them so I figured I try acupuncture first. She gave me some herbs and along with the acupuncture it seems to be working. It's been 29 days now. I thank God that I found this woman she truly gave me my life back. I only wish I would have tried this sooner. Hope this helps someone. If you decide to try this make sure the acupuncturist is licensed in acupuncture and herbology. Generally mds that do acupuncture only have minimal training. I wish you all well. I know how devistating this disease can be .

I'm glad to hear that this particular mode of therapy has worked in your favor!

I hear acupuncture has its time and place for people that is for sure...I hope your healing with this avenue continues

Sounds like you have found a very knowledgeable practitioner

Do you recall the name of the Chinese herbs that you used in conjunction with the acupuncture? Thanks!
