I'm very excited! I'm going to visit my very best friend for the weekend - she lives in the sticks (Fresno area -about 3 hours from here - in the agricultural Central Valley) but I get a "girls' weekend" no kids or responsibilities I have *earned* this break with all of Mike's traveling this year! We're gonna shop and eat out (they just opened a new Chang's there ) see a movie or two and just relax...
She has no kids (yet- I'll have to give her a nudge - they just had their 1-year anniversary! ) and her husband will be working all weekend (he's a highway patrolman). It will probably be low-key and boring, but that will be nice for a change!!!
Have a good weekend! I've been too busy to post, but I check in when I can!!

Off for a weekend of R & R...

Mary,
Do enjoy that weekend! I remember visiting a friend once when her oldest was just over a year old. Her husband was off on deployment and after she sent her daughter to bed we put in tapes of Faulty Towers (john Cleese) and ate popsicles! Everyone needs down time like that . She now has 3 kids and a dog and is VERY busy!
