An ocean in your gut
Has anyone experienced this sensation. I drink a lot when I have a diabetic low to bring my blood sugar up to normal limits. Sometimes the gurgling and the fluid is intense. Then the gut makes a racket. It's so loud people can hear my gut! I've always liked to drink fluids. But now I'm getting scared because it's like I'm allergic to fluid. It stays in my gut and not my kidneys or urethra. I have no sensation that I have to void or urinate. Now what's going on, pray tell?
That was pretty common for me when I was reacting. Nearly all MC patients are familiar with that loud gurgling sound. Stuff just doesn't work right in the digestive system when MC is active.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I agree with Tex, Dorothy. I sure had it when I was just diagnosed with MC and trying to figure it out.
The gurgling was really LOUD! I had a routine dentist checkup when this was happening. The hygienist (who I know) said she has heard some growling stomachs before but nothing like this. So I explained it to her and the dentist so they could understand it. I was just happy I didn't have to use the bathroom at the dentist that day. Always a concern with MC.
I also had to explain it when I was in a small office negotiating the purchase of a new vehicle. When it's that loud, folks nearby can definitely hear that.
After I gained control of MC, the gurgling pretty much totally has gone away. Maybe a little more than usual if I eat more than I should, but it is pretty much gone for me.

Oh yes I know that sound! I am still fresh into my recovery and I will never forget the first doctor I saw who bent over with the stethascope to listen to my gut and actually jerked back! LOL LOL (that was during my prime time 20 plus watery D a day-loads of fun)
Not much noise now on Bude !

Yes, I know that sound very well! Here's a funny story- about six months ago I was standing in the kitchen and the gurgling gut noises were so loud that one of my dogs started barking!! I've noticed a definite decrease as I have changed my diet, but I am still experiencing this on occasion. I still have a long way to go in my healing journey.

Yes, my gut can sound like a full sink emptying into a drain. My husband said it makes noises all night.
Thanks to Tex and his informative book, I'm on my way to recovery and feeling so very hopeful for it. I actually had a stool today w/o using any drugs and ALMOST took a picture of it. I did not, but I did praise the higher power for it. Tex will be rewarded in heaven for helping so many desperate souls.

Yes, the oceanic sound
The sound of an ocean in your stomach is embarrassing. I agree with y'all. Mine appears to be worse at night. Right now it's calm and calm is a wonderful thing.
I agree, there is a special place in heaven for Tex. He's helped so many people. But he's here for a long time because we need TEX!!!!!!!!!!!!
