Electromagnetic Sensitivity

Post by Lilja »

Hi,

I have been working in a mobile network company for 17 years. Once or twice a year, some articles would appear in the news about the dangers of radiation from antennas etc. Are they a threat to our health, or not? I remember we used to laugh at people's worries. We even engaged the National Radiation Bureau, to help us prove that electromagnetic radiation is not dangerous and does not affect us.

I was looking for a watch or a clock, that could show me the time during night, so I bought a clock radio with a projector, that projects time on the wall, so I didn't have to listen to ticking or be disturbed by the blue light from my iPhone when I woke up, to go to the bathroom.

I have been complaining both here at the board and to my family about severe pains in my upper arms, especially when I'm going to bed. The pains have been so awful, and my sleeplessness so bad, I have been desperate. So, last week I was lying in bed, could not sleep because of the pains, and started to think... "It must be something in this room", "what is new here? Have I started with supplements I do not tolerate well? But, why only pains in my upper arms? And why do they appear during the nights?"

So, I took the clock radio, disconnected it from the wall and tossed it into another room, and shut the door.... Voilà! No more pains, no more sleeplessness.

This clock is controlled via radio waves from a "world watch" in Germany, of all places.

So, this story is just to tell that if you experienceyou weird pains and have problems falling asleep, maybe you should just look around you.

This is pure speculation, but my arms were the only parts of my body that were not covered by my duvet.

glad you figured it out

your post above is why i frequently mention 'external triggers' to people who are struggling with attaining minimal symptoms...

With my heart palps and insomnia I took measures to cover our "smart meter" which was right on the other side of the wall where my head lays. It is just a faraday cage that covers it. I also covered our gas meter and our wireless internet. Less headaches and sleep much better at night. You have to look in all areas when you feel poorly and can't find answers. I'm not sure why people don't take electro magnetic fields seriously when it comes to ones health. It isn't a new concept that it is not good for us....

Next thing you know you will be earthing or grounding! If you do a search for earthing and EMF fields there are several demonstrations on how that is supposed to help. Earthing is done several ways. Some people walk barefoot outside. Others also connect an electrical wiring pad or patch to some part on the body to let the tiny electric current on the earths surface reach the skin.

I earth when I watch TV and at night when I go to bed. It helps relieve aches and pains nicely. I use an earthing patch on an acupuncture point, which works best for me.

If you want to read something interesting about tiny electrical currents and how they can effect the body, Dr. Meg Patterson has an interesting book. it is something I've been reading on lately. Dr. Patterson used to treat famous rock musicians for drug addictions. Most popular drug addiction methods, such as using methadone, are not all that effective. Dr. Patterson using tiny electrical currents through the body was have high rates of success with helping patients over come the toughest drug addictions. Addicts were experiencing minimal withdrawals.

It was felt the tiny electrical currents were increasing natural feel good endorphins in the body. The theory is that drug addicts loose their ability to produce natural endorphins. This could be why withdrawals occur. The tiny electrical current was re-establishing the bodies method for creating natural endorphins. That's the theory anyway.

after doing their house, they have made some changes and put in some filters and have got all the rooms down to lower 'acceptable' level

I bought an EMF reader. If I remember correctly I found it on a ghost hunting web sight of all places. In my condo the detector found one high EMF area that was not normal. It was in the kitchen near a red labeled outlet. The typical places for higher EMFs were found near lamps, TV, clock radios, etc.

I looked into the EMF filters. I never did understand how they work. There price seemed high too, so in the end for me I have continued with using a grounding pad, and patches when sleeping.

I've been sleeping on grounding sheets for 3 years. I also use grounding wrist bracelets at work which has helped. I used to feel like a revved up motor in there! (Hospital) I'm almost the tin foil hat lady!

I don't get a whole lot of respect with grounding. It was an easy decision for me. I play tennis. In the past after hitting my knees would be sore and ache for a few days. Once I began grounding, the knee and leg pains after tennis play went away. It was great.

I've tried to get other tennis players I know to ground. Not a chance. I did get to hear all about placebo effects, with many different theories on that. I suspect a few of the theories were made up on the spot.

hello. I got to the post because I suffer from insomnia. It's really hell beyond chronic colitis.
And yes, I turn off the wifi to sleep, when I forget it on I felt more tired. Obviously there are more factors that influence health, but it does negatively influence the nnemf, because among other things inhibit melatonin.
