Hi,

Welcome to the group. I'm certainly no expert, but these look like generally favorable results to me. The most important results (for MC patients) are those related to compromised methylation (which can cause high homocysteine levels, and other problems such as not being able to convert vitamins into the active form so that the body can use them). Looking at your results, your MTHFR C677T result shows no mutation (so no problem), and your MTHFR A1298C result indicates that this gene is compromised only about 30 % (which is usually not enough to cause any major problems).

The other genes (associated with breaking down various neurotransmitters) might cause problems in certain individuals, but normally, they shouldn't be a problem (even when the results are positive). This is a rather complex area that I know very little about because I don't consider it to be particularly important for most of us, anyway.

I hope that this is helpful.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
