Hi Dorothy,
With chicken that's "injected" with all sorts of "moisturizing" ingredients and other additives, sometimes the ingredients are listed on a label on the back of the package.

Pepto
I avoid Pepto like the plague. A physician from Mayo (endocrinologist) informed me to take 10 tablets daily. I was getting up during the night to check my blood sugar...falling and couldn't get my balance. I stopped Pepto and the falling decreased. I take Pepto in small amounts when I feel nauseated but in large amounts I think it's toxic, in my humble opinion.
You're right, some people's bodies can't eliminate it fast enough and it can cause neurological problems, such as balance issues and tinnitus.

Psyllium & figs
I am new to this page. I have not read all the pages, but am so thankful for the help I have so far read. I was 11 years before a diagnosis. I was told repeatedly that I had IBS. I started with entocort which definitely helped, but I didn't want to live on medication. I have gone dairy & gluten free which definitely helps. Spices are the absolute worst, which has been very hard for me as we like our ethnic spicy foods.
A couple things I have not seen on here that help me with the WD are psyllium & figs. I take a psyllium tablet every morning & 1 in mid afternoon. It helps absorb the liquid so BM's are not as watery.
The other thing I eat each morning is Figs. They are naturally water soluble and help absorb water.
I am fortunate to have a very kind & understanding Dr. It must be discouraging to have a Dr. as it sounds like some people do, that don't understand the disease. I just hope I can get this in total remission & try to live a normal life. Thanks to so many peoples stories. A HUGE thank you to the administrators of this page & the numerous replies you give.

So glad to have found this web page.
Hi,
Welcome to the group. 11 years is a long time to have to suffer. Your doctors should be ashamed of their incompetence for failing to properly diagnose the disease for so many years. In general, fiber is very irritating to our intestines when they are already inflamed with MC — especially undigestable fiber. I agree with you though that until you can figure out what's preventing you from reaching full remission (and a normal bowel movement), ingesting psyllium and figs should help to stabilize things a bit. It might be helpful to peel the figs (in order to reduce the amount of fiber), but I'm not sure that's even possible — I've never tried to peel a fig. Hopefully, after you read more here, you'll be able to find the missing link (or links), and reach total remission.
Again, welcome aboard, and please feel free to ask anything.
