HI Karen,
I can't honestly remember if Tex mentioned that....but I do remember a statement about if the Mag was low on a test then your body has really low levels that need to be brought up as soon as possible. My blood test said 2.2 out of 2.5 but there was a disclaimer next to it that said Obgyn levels need to be 4.9 to 6.0 so whatever that means I felt like I was doing ok, but heck not good enough! Then I had my hair analysis and it showed I have been getting decent mag and my level was on the higher end of acceptable so I have to believe it is other minerals at this point that I'm struggling with.

Trace Elements in Dallas Tx did my testing....I did it through an independent lab tech Pippa Galea through the Breast Implant Illness site on Facebook she is really great, I can't wait to have my phone session with her on my results. Pretty sure $170 is a really good rate as it comes with individual attention, she analyzes the results and visits with you regarding what needs to be addressed.

Hi, Karen. The high today was 77, it feels like fall! Lol. We survived! My dad was born & raised in Atkins, VA and most of his relatives still live in VA. Nice to meet you!

Hi Karen,

When ordering a blood test for magnesium, almost all doctors have traditionally ordered the serum magnesium test. That's the one that will only show a low result if you are critically low. Recently though (mostly due to patient demand, probably) some doctors are beginning to order the RBC magnesium test. RBC stands for red blood cell, of course, and that's a much more accurate test. However, the normal range specified for the test is probably a bit low. If you're ever interested in learning a lot more about magnesium, I have a book about magnesium. It's called Why Magnesium is the Key to Long-Term Health.

We're having a few days with highs in the upper 80's to lower 90's, lows in the low to mid 60's, here in central TX. You're mighty right, Marcia. It sure doesn't feel like July.
