While this research is bad news for people who love spicy food, it sort of validates our recommendation for MC patients to avoid spicy food. Newly-published research claims that eating spicy foods can cause dementia. Researchers in Australia have determined that individuals who regularly ate more than 50 grams of chili a day had almost double the risk of memory decline and poor cognition. Wow, that's a good thing for me. I don't like spicy food, never have. I was always a "plain Jane" eater, even before the LC. I don't even use salt & pepper.
