Bad News for Lovers of Spicy Foods

While this research is bad news for people who love spicy food, it sort of validates our recommendation for MC patients to avoid spicy food. Newly-published research claims that eating spicy foods can cause dementia. Researchers in Australia have determined that individuals who regularly ate more than 50 grams of chili a day had almost double the risk of memory decline and poor cognition. So maybe having to avoid spicy foods is not so bad, after all. Here's a link to a Science Daily article, which contains a link to the original research article:

Wow, that's a good thing for me. I don't like spicy food, never have. I was always a "plain Jane" eater, even before the LC. I don't even use salt & pepper.
